The Educational Interpreter performs sign language interpretation for hearing-impaired students or perspective students including lectures, classroom instruction, meetings, registration, testing, tutoring and counseling.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic and non-academic interpreting services for students, staff, faculty and visitors.
• Interpret sign language of the deaf into verbal or written language for hearing individuals, or others not conversant in sign language.

• A minimum of 1 year directly related training or interpreting experience required.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Efficiently utilize a personal computer and related software.
• Acquire and maintain licenses if applicable as required by state or accrediting commissions.
• Must be available for Evening and Saturday hours.
