Job Description

Develop and present training courses locally and at remote domestic and international locations. Perform training requirements analyses for development of training programs. Provide technical, logistics, and administrative training for internal and external customer students as required.

Assure that uniform and efficient publications and training processes are applied across all assigned programs. Provide direction and leadership to writers and support personnel who may assist with assigned tasks.

Prepare plans for accomplishing publications and training tasks. Coordinate training materials editing, composition, production and delivery in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other requirements.

Maintain schedule and performance standards on assigned programs. Coordinate the quality control activities required to assure the accuracy and adequacy of each training and technical product.

Participate in reviews with customer. Identify requirements and maintain training device assets as required. Responsible to maintain schedule and cost on assigned programs. Provide leadership and direction to other developers and support personnel.

Perform as a Subject Matter Expert for maintenance related issues.

Practice ISO 9001 principles and concepts.  This position is subject to working conditions peculiar to this position.

Primary duties may require travel, both domestically and internationally. 

Required Skills

Thorough knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems, with emphasis on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and/or manned aviation.

Ability to read and interpret engineering design drawings. Ability to perform in-depth research and document all types of system designs.

Willingness and ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments, respond to short notice tasking, and work well under pressure.

Basic computer skills are required. Proficiency with MS Office products, e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.

Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing, and possess very strong leadership skills.

Prior qualification on the Shadow and/or other tactical UAS is highly desired. Knowledge and proficiency with maintenance reporting systems, e.g. TAMMS, ELAS, COLTS, etc is highly desired. 

Required Experience

Experienced in development and presentation of aviation training courses, with emphasis on UAS. Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 5 years related experience with an Associate's Degree in a technical field (electronics/mechanical), or equivalent education or experience to demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the job duties. FAA licenses or certificates such as A&P, IA, FCC, etc are highly desired. Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
