Operations Engineer/Operations Management Development Program

An Operations Engineer in the Operations Management Development Program (OMDP) is responsible for continuous improvement within Medline’s manufacturing and distribution supply chain. This candidate will be exposed to areas of warehouse management, inventory management, transportation/logistics, operations, supply chain management and customer service. Medline’s leadership in the healthcare industry allows for outstanding project management opportunities with high-level visibility across all areas of the company. The accelerated career path associated with our OMDP is unlike any other company, as you control your project direction and are limited only by your own abilities.

Program focus areas:

Operations Management
* Distribution center improvements through systems and process Enhancements
* Financial reports
* Facilities planning
* Project management
Inventory Management
* Re-engineering purchasing and expediting
* Best practices – APO within SAP
* Branch realignments
Supply Chain Management
* JIT process design
* Lead time reduction

Program timeline
Engineers are encouraged to utilize project management skills covering all departments within Medline’s operations. Typical program length is approximately, but not limited to, three years in order to fully develop skills required to advance your career within management. 

To qualify, you must possess:
• Four-year college degree in Industrial Engineering (Industrial, Biomedical, General)
• At least one year of previous business experience with warehouse/distribution or process improvement preferred
