JOB FUNCTION: Performs routine tasks within trade and assists Carpenter Grade I as assigned. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs minor carpentry construction work such as ceiling tile, floor tile and carpet installation. • Perform minor building and grounds carpentry maintenance such as ceiling tile, floor tile and carpet replacement. • Hangs pictures, signs and other minor fixtures as directed. • Under direction of Grade I Carpenter performs general work order completion such as general masonry, concrete, demolition and debris removal. • Perform related work as required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to read blueprints. • Ability to write correspondence. • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Possess general knowledge of the carpentry trade. • Must be able to operate small power tools and machinery as required. • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions. • A willingness to work shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. EDUCATION: High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required. SECURITY: Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in trade or building maintenance.
