The Technical Deployment Analyst (TDA) is responsible for performing initial software installs and upgrades to client environments. The TSA will work in collaboration with the Client Center, Field Operations and Client Service Directors (CSD) to ensure complete software installation.
Responsibilities:
• Perform software installs and upgrades to client environments
• Complete testing checklists post upgrade/install to ensure successful install
• Research and answer all client questions in regards to upgrade and install process
• Provide feedback to product development to improve installation process
• Supports issues related to the software installation
• Participate in special ad-hoc department or company-wide task forces
• Travels to client sites (less than 10% is expected)
• Completes other projects and duties as assigned
Skills and Experience Required:
Strong technical background, including experience with:
- MS SQL 2000 and 2005
- Windows 2000 and 2003 servers
- Application architecture
- Various remote connectivity methods'
• Experience/skills interfacing directly with clients
• Good communication skills: oral, written and listening skills
• Time management skills
• Strong technical and business problem-solving skills and judgment
• Knowledgeable about HW, 3rd party SW and intermediate level SQL knowledge
• Experience as network analyst, programmer, DBA or System Administrator a plus
• Ability to work with customers and team members effectively and efficiently
• Balance the requirements of satisfying customers and meeting company goals
• Knowledge of Picis applications and client environment a plus
Education:
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- BS degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer services area or equivalent combination of experience and education
- SQL Server certified (MCDBA); Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSE) a plus;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows 2003/XP Server and Workstation, SQL Server 2000/2005
- Good working knowledge of network troubleshooting and principles
