You will be responsible for developing and managing the execution of outbound marketing initiatives across Picis’s businesses in North America and Western Europe. This dynamic position requires creativity, flexibility, hands-on management skills, a strong delivery and results orientation, and a broad marketing skill set and background in the world of technology marketing.
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans, directing programs for visibility, awareness and image building, tracking and measuring results, and ensuring that our marketing initiatives are focused.
- Build and manage a central Marketing Communications function that is responsive in its role as a “service bureau” to the various product lines and geographies across the company.
- Provide overall image, branding, and corporate identity direction for Marketing Communications. Develop and direct brand strategy and management. Ensure that overall branding/marketing communications follow corporate guidelines for consistency of brand. Oversee development, education, and implementation of corporate style guide.
- Develope marketing strategies, including optimization of media vehicles, mix, frequency, and timing and develop and manage budgets and annual plans to meet business/financial objectives.
- Contribute to the planning of Corporate Communications (including investor, industry analyst and public relations).
- Responsible for setting direction for main advertising agency partners and external vendors/agencies, ensures quarterly reviews of quality, service, and pricing for all vendors. These external relationships include the PR agency, various creative resources and Web marketing agencies.
- Ensure consistency across worldwide promotional programs.
- Analyze metrics, quantify customer needs and impressions about current activities, and report on their effectiveness. Develop, communicate, and oversee implementation of effective monitors related to key program activities and budget execution. Proof reads and edits scientific copy.
- Manage marketing staff to maintain high level of productivity, efficiency, and proficiency. Establish strategic direction for future evolution of Marketing & Communications. Evaluate and shift resources based upon business needs for the future. Ensure department is current in regards to technology to advance program capabilities and improve program efficiencies.
- Lead five to ten employees in Marketing Communications. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the business unit. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor's degree (BS) or equivalent in Marketing/Communications or related field;
MBA or additional business training highly desirable.
Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, including at least five (5) years of supervisory/management experience in a comparable position.
Advanced knowledge of all areas of Marketing & Marketing Communications including communications strategy, creative project management, graphic design, exhibit management, advertising / media buying, public relations, eMarketing, use of social media, etc. Advanced writing, editing, proofreading skills and presentation skills.
Experience with marketing communications in a Healthcare IT or software solutions environment is preferred.
Computer Skills: Should have working knowledge of database software, Siebel or other CRM system(s), current MS Office Suite, and desktop publishing / design software.
Ability to travel 20 – 25% as required for trade shows, business meetings and working meetings at other Picis sites in the US and Europe
