Position Scope & Objective
Drive profitable sales growth in food processing segment leveraging Unisource broad product offering and product specialist expertise.
Responsibilities:
Define business development objectives at targeted food accounts Establish and achieve specific sales and profit goals with local Business Managers. Acquire knowledge of local food processors in market, current Unisource market share position and competitors. Acquire and maintain in depth knowledge on food packaging products and understanding of market drivers within the segment. Develop and execute mutually agreed training plans with core suppliers Call on existing and prospective customers with purpose of sustaining and growing market share in food processing segment. Plan, coordinate and make sales presentations, demonstrating effectiveness Unisource product offering in food processing segment. Coordinate and conduct local training of sales reps, technicians, and equipment specialist on food packaging related equipment and materials. Identify new products and services to support growth objectives in targeted segments (Meat, Cheese, Prepared, Fresh Cut, and Bakery). Support corporate marketing communication function with business success stories and new supplier/customer developments. Cultivate new alliances with industry business partners (trade associations, adjacent product manufacturers). Support National Accounts in achieving local objective at food processor accounts Prepare reports as required and manage accurate customer project files thru Focus 15 Tool.
Ideal candidate will have flexible packaging and/or flexible packaging machinery sales experience in a food processing environment. Candidates should have good understanding of film structures (Coex/Laminations) as well as solid foundation with printed materials (ie. flexo and/or rotogravure).Candidates with strong competency with thermoforming film (Forming and non forming) will be given highest consideration.
