About the Position
Under the direct supervision of the Occupational Therapist, administers specified evaluations, conducts general activity programs and assists in implementing specific treatment programs.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
- Instructs patients in routine motor activities and activities of daily living to enhance occupational therapy.
- Evaluates and reviews pertinent data relating to overall treatment planning and evaluation. Administers standard evaluations and elicits information regarding existing skills and capacities.
- Identifies appropriate treatment goals and the type of remedial activity to be used.
- Maintains occupational therapy equipment and inventory of departmental supplies.
- Designs and fits adaptive devices such as splints and braces for patient use, based on patient disability and rehabilitation needs.
Qualifications
- COTA license
- Strong communication and written skills
- Computer skills
- Associate’s Degree
