Seeking consultant professionals skilled with the WebSphere Commerce product set, to provide business-driven technology solutions to our Fortune 3000 client base. Required Skills

The ideal candidates must possess a combination of both consulting skills and Java technical skills:

  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Experience with Complex Multi-Platform Technology Solutions
  • Experience in implementing Complex eCommerce Solutions (preferably around the WebSphere Commerce Product Set)
  • Experience with Standard J2EE Application Architectures & Frameworks.

Technical Architect Responsibilities

  • Work with our Business Development team in a pre-sales capacity to transform our client's business problems into comprehensive technology solutions.
  • Experience in analyzing the client's business problem and designing a comprehensive ecommerce solution utilizing WebSphere Commerce and related products. This includes the ability to generate documentation such as Fit-Gap Analysis around WebSphere Commerce.
  • Work with our delivery teams to design and implement technology solutions, particularly around the WebSphere Commerce product.
  • Generate documentation in both the pre- and post-sales process. This includes, but is not limited to, generating Statements of Work, Client Presentations, Technical Requirements and Technical Design Documentation.
  • Work with the Project Managers to build work plans and manage technical teams to those work plans during solution construction.
  • Act as a billable resource on client engagements performing such duties as requirements gathering, performing architectural design, developing business cases, project planning, product installation and configuration and software development.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and growth of our technical team members; act as a mentor in their career development.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years overall IT experience required
  • 4+ years Java Programming experience (EJBs, Java Servlets and JSP)
  • 3+ years experience Web Architecture
  • 2+ years experience with eCommerce solutions
  • 2+ years consulting experience require
  • 2+ years experience generating technical documentation
  • 2+ years proven mentoring/leadership experience on significant projects

Desired Experience

  • 2+ years experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce This includes an intimate knowledge of the WebSphere Commerce programming model, as well as customization and integration techniques.
  • 2+ years WebSphere Application Server
  • 1+ years Services Oriented Architecture Design and Implementation
  • 1+ years Security Technology (Digital Certificates, LDAP, Netegrity, PKI, etc.)
  • 1+ years Enterprise Integration (mainframes, messaging middleware, etc.)
  • 1+ years Rational Unified Process Intimate knowledge of the IBM WebSphere family of products WebSphere Commerce certification(s) Experience with multiple versions of WebSphere Commerce
