The Local Marketing Coordinator role is based in Chicago, IL and is responsible for implementing and executing strategies to build the Perficient brand in the Chicago market. This is an entry level role which includes a significant amount of inside sales activities that coincide with local events to drive attendance and to perform proper follow-up to generate sales leads in the area.
The Local Marketing Coordinator works in Perficient’s local business unit and reports to the General Manager of that office with a dotted line to the Regional Marketing Coordinator. The individual will perform a variety of tasks and a wide degree of creativity, flexibility and a can-do mentality is expected.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Local Marketing Coordinator Role:
- Work with Regional Marketing team to establish the Perficient brand and generate sales leads in the local market.
- Lead generation through target account selling, outbound cold calling, and calling on Marketing campaign respondents and inbound leads.
- Implement call campaigns designed by the local business unit to penetrate local market and also assist it corporate marketing campaign efforts regionally.
- Drive attendance to local marketing events and follow-up with attendees
- Lead and coordinate effort to network in the local community technology user groups and establish a system to encourage the entire Business Unit to increase networking efforts
- Capture market intelligence for the local office by utilizing Siebel on Demand
- Implement and maintain local market activity calendar
- Coordinate logistics for local events
- Help coordinate local public relations efforts and assist with internal communications support for the corporate marketing team.
- Develop solid relationships with Perficient Business Development Executives to partner in appointment setting activities
Required Competencies:
- Minimum 1-3 year relevant experience
- Comfort calling into Fortune 1000 accounts at CXO level.
- Solid networking skills with the ability to speak intelligently about various IT trends and technologies
- Creative thinker with the ability to create campaigns that drive attendance to local events
- Detail oriented in order to organize events with little direction
- Self-starter with solid organizational and planning skills
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Detail oriented and highly organized individual with ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal skills, autonomous and proactive.
- Team player
- IT Services/consulting or technology marketing experience preferred
- Experience working on small sales/marketing team on behalf of larger organization desirable
- Technically literate
- Strong communication skills
- Highly motivated professional with excellent inter-personal skills.
- Supports Regional Marketing Coordinator in all activities and takes proactive, incremental action.
