As a Senior Software Developer Level III reporting to the Director of Engineering, you’ll be responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of Dealix’s New and Used Car Buying Service websites and back-end applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect robust, maintainable software solutions consistent with current industry practices; communicate this architecture at a business and technical level.
• OO Design, develop and maintain application code using Microsoft VB.NET/C#.
• OO Design, develop and maintain Web server code using HTML (with JavaScript) and Microsoft ASP.NET with VB.NET/C#.
• Develop and maintain SQL stored procedures and views for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Databases.
• Take responsibility for delivering stable code, meeting specifications and timelines.
• Take responsibility for the continuous uptime of the corporate websites and applications.
• Test all software functionality; coordinate corrective action as needed.
• Participate in ongoing code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure consistent quality and adherence to internal standards.
• Participate in application UI reviews; improve efficiency and quality of user processes.
• Carry a pager to be notified and respond to rare applications problems.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of VB/C++/C# experience.
• 3+ years Microsoft ASP/ASP.NET with ADO/ADO.NET experience.
• 3+ years T-SQL or PL/SQL experience. (Very strong SQL experience required.)
• 2+ years of COM/COM+/.NET Component experience.
• 5+ years designing, developing and testing within a software development team.
• Exceptional problem-solving, self-direction and project management skills.  
• Thorough knowledge of developing applications using Microsoft's .NET technology.
• Thorough knowledge of developing applications using Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, XML and SOAP.
• Strong knowledge developing applications using Microsoft Office COM objects.
