Cobalt - the automotive industry's most comprehensive provider of integrated solutions for digital advertising-seeks a Digital Marketing Services Manager. The DMSM is responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring adherence to the Cobalt Digital Marketing strategy, developing and managing daily team processes, supervision and professional development and coaching of assigned staff, achievement of established team performance metrics, and adherence to department and company policies. Additionally, the DMSM, in coordination with the Group Director, drives process and technology improvements with the Product Management and Product Development organizations.
Key Responsibilites
- Assist in driving the delivery of the promotions and paid search offerings.
- Assist in driving the delivery of OEM Promotions, which includes components of Paid Search, Display Advertising, and Email Marketing.
- Develop processes and methodologies to ensure delivery coordination and alignment with the Dealer Advocate Services group.
- Mentor and train Online Marketing Specialists on the latest trends in digital (online) marketing.
- Work with the Advertising COE to help define the delivery of coordinated OEM Promotions based marketing Campaigns.
- With Director, establish metrics and processes for tracking the performance of the Cobalt promotions delivery team.
- Work with the reporting and analytics group to meet the reporting expectations of Cobalt promotions customers.
- Own the definition and implementation of quality assurance for promotions delivery.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Services Group Director to maintain training and career path development for Online Marketing Specialists.
- Own the process for customer escalations related to the delivery of promotions delivery within your team.
- Work with Cobalt Advertising COE (center of excellence) to enhance promotions delivery toolsets.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the team including: team scheduling; adherence to quality customer service & team process standards; escalation for customer/product issues; dissemination of procedural, product, department/company update information to the team and ensure understanding/adherence among team members.
- Provide supervision and professional guidance to team members through: team member one-on-one coaching and review meetings; conducting regular team meetings; development of quarterly and annual performance goals & objectives; documenting and delivering timely performance feedback; take appropriate disciplinary actions as required
- Drive the ongoing development of the team through: continuous evaluation/refining of team processes; working with Senior Management in determining staffing needs, assisting with recruiting and hiring
- Drive the development of the Digital Marketing discipline and education within the team: establish, manage to and drive standards for Paid Search and Display Advertising delivery methodologies within the team.
- Ensure that team members adhere to standard operating procedures and achieve acceptable levels of performance.
- Ensure customer issues are responded to, followed-up on, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure appropriate coverage for team is in place at all times.
- Disseminate technical and new product information to team members in a timely manner, as needed or requested.
- Assist in the development of new policies and procedures as needed and communicate to/with team(s) as appropriate.
- Ensure all essential information, policies, procedures, etc. are documented and maintained in the Knowledge Management System and/or other systems as needed and appropriate.
- Keep team members informed of all department news, issues, policies, procedures, product information, technical information, training opportunities, etc.
- Prepare and deliver performance reviews on time and make salary recommendations.
- Promote/facilitate training and professional development of assigned personnel.
- Ensure that all personnel receive timely, accurate, and frequent feedback on performance on a routine basis, but no less than monthly.
- Document employee issues and performance conversations in employee files in a timely manner.
- Ensure that appropriate disciplinary actions are taken and execute policies, in a timely manner, as appropriate.
- Demonstrated understanding of Internet marketing methodologies (natural search, paid search, and/or display advertising) preferred.
- Experience in developing, implementing and gauging the success of new processes from the ground up.
- Experience in developing and delivering performance analysis to both internal and external customers.
- Ability to quickly learn & understand complex software products and explain these to customers.
- Proven ability to manage and complete tasks according to assigned timelines
- Proven time management skills – must be able to work independently and handle multiple ongoing tasks with rapidly changing priorities.
- 3-5 years experience in personnel management in client or marketing services delivery is required.
- 4+ years experience in delivering digital marketing services in at least one of the following: paid search, organic search, or display advertising.
- Experience with Windows, Excel, and MS Word required.
- Internet experience required.
