Cobalt - the automotive industry's most comprehensive provider of integrated solutions for digital advertising – is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager-Advertising.

In a year in which the automotive industry experienced unparalleled distress, Cobalt has thrived - continuing to grow revenue and profitability by leading the industry’s transition to digital marketing.  Cobalt is now rapidly building a strong new business line in integrated digital advertising for dealerships. 

This position is responsible for leading our go-to-market initiatives for Advertising Promotions – integrated digital marketing packages (e.g. search, display, web, retargeting, and email) for automotive dealers linked to automotive manufacturer marketing campaigns.  They will plan, manage and coordinate execution of offer launches and work to maximize revenue and profit attainment across all influence and selling channels.  They partner closely with one or more Product Managers who have responsibility for product definition, product lifecycle management and internal offering launch and operational management.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy
    Development, advocacy and execution of an operational go-to-market strategy integrating all elements of the marketing and distribution mix. 
  • Market Characterization/Targeting
    Development and communication of an actionable segmentation and positioning strategy.
  • External Launch Management
    Management of all external deliverables for product launches in partnership with Product Manager.
  • Marketing Program Development and Execution
    Development of all programs driving product line awareness and demand generation.  Management of execution through internal and external marketing support teams.
  • Channel Enablement
    Ensures all appropriate sales teams are adequately trained and provided tools to achieve their sales quotas.  Provides major opportunity support but remains focused on proactive vs. reactive support.
  • Market Requirements
    Development of market requirements and business forecasts to support Promotions initiatives.
  • Product Expert/Evangelist
    Is a public representative of the product line’s offering to external audiences, including major automotive manufacturers and large dealer groups.  Content provider to social, online and traditional media.

 

Required Skills
  • Expert knowledge of digital advertising marketing concepts and techniques.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective business-to-business marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate program teams
  • Strong foundation of analytic skills to support communications and business case development
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or technical field; or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA strongly preferred, but not required.
  • 5 to 10 years of Marketing experience, preferably in the Automotive industry
