Dealix, a division of The Cobalt Group, is hiring an SEO Marketing Manager. We are the automotive Internet marketing services leader and own a portfolio of new and used car websites. We are looking for an experienced SEO lead who will be responsible for all organic search efforts. You will be responsible for the definition and execution of our SEO strategy including rigorous performance tracking and improvement. You will provide thought leadership to a team of product managers and engineers who will support you in the execution of your strategy.

• Own the development and execution of the SEO strategy for our family of websites that meets or exceeds ambitious financial targets
• Define SEO standards and guidelines including URL structure, linking, page titles, meta tags, keywords, headings, anchor text and site maps
• Create a content strategy that leverages professional and user generated content that maximizes SEO benefits
• Define SEO requirements and provide direction to product managers, designers and engineers with implementation and fine tuning
• Develop a framework to systematically track and improve SEO performance
• Stay up-to-date with changes in how search engines measure relevancy and translate them into tactics that ensure a consistently high page rank and top positions on head, shoulder and tail terms
• Build and maintain a network of domain experts to stay on the cutting edge

• 4+ years of SEO experience with a large consumer media property – ideally with multiple websites
• Demonstrated achievements in systematically improving SEO rankings
• Excellent business acumen, results-orientation and communication skills
• Very strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to leverage data to inform decision making
• Systematic approach to identifying opportunities/issues, defining solutions and executing action plans
• Great attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize and meet aggressive targets and deadlines
• Passion for staying current in a rapidly evolving environment and leveraging blogs and online forums to gain a competitive edge
• Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership and direction to a cross-functional team and to thrive in a matrixed environment
• Experience with online lead generation business models is desirable
• BA or BS degree required. MBA preferred.
